Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic individual to join our Facilities Services Team as a Maintenance Worker III. This role is ideal for someone with superior customer service skills and a commitment to creating an excellent work environment for staff and visitors in our buildings.

About the Role:

  • Effectively operates, repairs, and maintains base building systems and equipment to provide a safe, healthy, and comfortable work environment.
  • Performs extensive preventative maintenance activities to avert the premature failure of systems and equipment.
  • Completes general carpentry tasks and repairs.
  • Coordinates the activities of mechanical or electrical contractors involved in base building repairs and upgrades.
  • Provides technical advice and information on code related issues, best practices, and procedures for working on sensitive systems.
  • Responds to emergency situations and completes Facility Service Requests (FSR's).
  • Oversees water treatment program.

Requirements:

  • 4th Class Power Engineer Certification is required.
  • Minimum of seven years' experience in building operations, repair and maintenance of high-rise office towers.
  • Familiar with various BAS systems including Siemens and RC Studio.
  • Experience in the areas of HVAC pneumatic and direct digital control systems.
  • Experience and/or knowledge in carpentry is a definite asset.
  • Knowledge of UPS systems and data center environmental controls.
  • Knowledge of all related Codes including Building Codes and Fire Codes.
  • Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and WHMIS.
  • Familiar with hazardous material procedures, as well as safety and environmental concerns in storage and disposal of cleaning chemicals.
  • Project management and contract administration skills.
  • WHMIS Certification, CPR/First Aid, Respirator Certificate, Driver Training, and Spill Kit Training are required.
  • BOMA Certification is an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to function within a team setting.
  • Must be able to work efficiently and effectively.

Salary: Pay Grade 8 $57,910 to $68,085 per annum
