We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Dietary Aide to join our team at [Company Name]. As a Dietary Aide, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by providing high-quality food service and care.

Responsibilities:
  • Participate in departmental and team meetings to stay informed and share knowledge
  • Communicate effectively with staff, residents, and families to ensure open and respectful interactions
  • Prepare and serve meals to individual residents, following dietary instructions and guidelines
  • Mentor new staff and students to promote a culture of learning and growth
  • Support and promote a team approach to resident care and services
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to staff, residents, families, and the general public
  • Ensure optimal quality of life for each resident by providing individualized care and attention
  • Report any equipment issues or concerns to management
  • Complete documentation records of food temperature, equipment, and other relevant data
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance resident care and services
  • Utilize equipment and supplies efficiently and effectively
Qualifications:
  • Preference given to candidates with a Food Service Worker program or equivalent experience
  • Food Handler Certification from a recognized agency
  • Previous institutional dietary service experience is an asset
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow recipe directions, diet orders, and work assignments
  • Able to work flexible hours, including emergency situations
  • Knowledge of Ministry of Long-Term Care, Public Health, and Home's rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Clear vulnerable sector screening and recent TB test results
  • COVID-19 vaccination is a condition of employment
