The Real Estate, Facilities and Economic Development Department is looking for a temporary part time Clerk Typist 2 to support the Economic Development division for approximately 6 months.

In this position, you will provide customer service and clerical support assisting with a range of public facing customer service and administration tasks, such as answering questions and providing assistance to the public in person, over the phone and via email.

You will also process a variety of paperwork as well as perform data entry and filing tasks.

You will have general office experience, a minimum keyboarding speed of 50 wpm net, a demonstrated ability in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) and the ability to meet deadlines.

Strong interpersonal skills are important for this role, as is attention to detail, a high degree of accuracy, and the ability to deal effectively with City staff and the public.


Shortlisted candidates may be required to complete standardized tests or exercises to demonstrate their applicable skills and knowledge.

Hours may vary between 21 to 28 hours per week.
