About the Opportunity

Within their scope of practice and in collaboration with patients and the health care team, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides care for patients with defined health challenges and predictable outcomes. As the acuity or complexity increases and/or outcomes are not predictable, the LPN, under the supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN), provides nursing interventions, within their scope of practice. The RN retains accountability for the assignment and/or delegation of patient care activities to the LPN, but the LPN is accountable for individual actions or practices.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Graduate from an accredited School of Practical Nursing
  • Registered or eligible for registration with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing (NSCN)
  • Current BLS-C (HCP) certification
  • Ability to maintain good relationships with patients, families, and co-workers
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
