About the Role:

VON Canada is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team in Nova Scotia. As an LPN, you will provide medical care to children, youth, adults, and seniors in their homes and other settings in communities across the province.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide diabetes management, dialysis, medication management, palliative care, phlebotomy, and wound care services to clients in their homes.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify client needs and develop effective care strategies.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
  • Provide education and support to clients and their families on disease management and self-care techniques.

Requirements:

  • Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the province of practice.
  • Experience in community health an asset.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle required.
  • A current and original copy of a satisfactory Criminal Records Check required.
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
