About the Role:

VON Canada is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in Nova Scotia. As an LPN with VON, you will have the opportunity to provide medical care to children, youth, adults, and seniors in their homes and other settings in communities across Nova Scotia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide medical care to clients in their homes and other settings, including diabetes management, dialysis, medication management, palliative care, phlebotomy, and wound care.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans that meet the unique needs of each client.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients' physical and emotional needs, and develop plans to address these needs.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
  • Provide education and support to clients and their families on health-related topics.
  • Document client information and progress in a timely and accurate manner.

Requirements:

  • Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the province of practice.
  • Experience in community health an asset.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • A current and original copy of a satisfactory Criminal Records Check.
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
