Radiation Technologist, CT Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiation Technologist, CT to join our team at Surrey Memorial Hospital. As a key member of our Medical Imaging department, you will be responsible for performing special procedure examinations in CT, utilizing safe radiation protection practices, and ensuring the highest level of patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Perform CT examinations in accordance with established procedures, including completing requisitions, positioning patients, and explaining clinical procedures.
- Monitor patients during procedures, responding to possible contrast media reactions or other emergent situations, and performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation as needed.
- Image studies using radiography equipment and departmental information systems, ensuring accurate patient identification and collating images with requisitions.
- Facilitate workflow in designated work areas, regulating inpatient examination time, and arranging departmental and/or facility porters.
- Supervise Medical Imaging personnel, preparing work and priorities, and completing payroll records, employee appraisal forms, and performance reviews.
- Certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
- Completion of an advanced specialty program in Computed Tomography and one year of recent, related experience, including supervisory experience.
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification - Basic Life Support (BCLS) level.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the standards of practice and guidelines for Medical Imaging practitioners established by the CAMRT and/or other relevant national professional associations.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, coworkers, physicians, and other healthcare staff.
