Mystic, a new restaurant located on the Halifax waterfront, is seeking a skilled Chef de Partie to join our team. As a Chef de Partie, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.

Mystic is a restaurant that explores the natural landscape of Canada, with a focus on the Maritime provinces. Our chefs are passionate about showcasing the region's most exceptional fish, flora, and fauna, sourced within a 100km radius.

Job Description

We are looking for a talented and motivated Chef de Partie to join our team. As a Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for:

  • Preparing and cooking dishes to the highest standards
  • Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment
  • Working effectively as part of a team to deliver exceptional service
  • Assisting with food inventory and control
  • Receiving and storing delivered items
  • Cleaning food prep areas, equipment, and utensils
Requirements

To be successful as a Chef de Partie, you will need:

  • 3+ years of cooking experience in a fast-paced restaurant
  • Culinary diploma/degree is an asset
  • Understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills
  • Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
  • Able to spend 100% of the time standing
