Our client, a leading provider of care for seniors, is seeking an experienced Director of Care to join their team at a brand-new facility in Ontario.
Your New Role- Coordinate and schedule resident care activities in compliance with applicable legislation.
- Maintain an atmosphere conducive to achieving the optimal health and welfare of residents and employees.
- Coordinate the hiring, orientation, continuing education, supervision, and performance evaluation of nursing staff.
- Act as an ambassador and role model for the facility in all interactions with the community, residents, visitors, staff, and volunteers.
- Minimum 3 years' experience working as a Registered Nurse in a managerial or supervisory capacity in the healthcare setting.
- Current certificate of competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse.
- Education in nursing, nursing administration, and gerontology.
- Experience demonstrating progressive leadership and hands-on approach to monitoring and evaluating resident care.
