Master Scheduler

Position Summary:


Reporting to the Sales & Operations Manager, responsible for scheduling all production lines including detailed machine schedules and work order distribution.

Balancing operations and sales requirements for short- and long-term planning with considerations for material tracking.

Performance Expectations:

  • Create build plans to balance production supply with sales demand
  • Manage finish goods inventory levels
  • Track global finish goods levels relative to firm orders
  • Manage scheduling constraints through planning analysis
  • Create forecasts based on historic trends
  • Manage customer build allocations
  • Communicate schedule releases and changes
  • Work with crossfunctional teams to ensure attainable schedules
  • Maintain component tracking and respond to supply delays
  • Process changes orders in MRP
  • Generate reports for option usage
  • Coordinate meetings with Sales and Operational groups
  • Work with Engineering, Marketing, and Project Management
  • Perform other tasks as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

  • 3 to 5 years experience in production control and planning
  • Postsecondary education
  • Knowledge of SAP IBP (S&OP)
  • Supply chain education beneficial

Desired Characteristics:

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Proficient with various computer applications
  • Ability to solve issues through logical deduction
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Ability to prioritize workload and multitask
  • Capable of developing reports and analyzing data
  • Understanding bill of materials structures
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
