Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Engagement: Proactively engage with existing customers and prospects to understand their financial needs and provide tailored solutions to meet their goals.
  • Needs Assessment: Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify financial solutions and preferred banking channels, and recommend tailored solutions to address both sales and service needs.
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain current knowledge of personal banking products, practices, and trends, and integrate this knowledge into customer conversations to provide strategic advice.
  • Risk Management: Apply the risk management framework to the portfolio to protect the Bank's assets and maintain the quality of the lending portfolio in compliance with requirements for the lending process and established yield, quality, diversification, and risk guidelines.
  • Credit Recommendations: Make credit recommendations for personal lending transactions, including home financing, in accordance with sound credit granting principles and with the Bank's policies and procedures.
  • Team Collaboration: Act as a key member of a collaborative and versatile branch and market team, working together to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve business objectives.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with the wider financial services marketplace, the legal and regulatory environment, and our commitment to uphold the highest ethical requirements of our industry.
Requirements
  • Education: Typically between 2 - 3 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in a related field of study, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Registration: Registration to sell investment products completed, as appropriate for the jurisdiction.
  • Lending Qualifications: Appropriate lending qualifications and designations.
  • Customer Service Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to build rapport and connections with customers, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively to resolve complex customer issues.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
