Environmental Engineer or Scientist - Join Our Team at GHD

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Engineer or Scientist to join our dynamic Contaminated Assessments & Remediation (CAR) team at GHD. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for implementing environmental investigations, conducting field work, and collaborating with senior staff to deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct field investigations, including drilling, monitoring well and soil vapour probe installation oversight, and coordination of environmental monitoring.
  • Work with intermediate and senior staff to implement environmental investigations for Stage 1 and 2 PSIs, DSIs, and Phase I and II ESAs and remediation work.
  • Prepare permitting applications, remediation, demolition, and construction tender documents, and bid packages.
  • Assist with data compilation, reduction, and interpretation, and preparation of technical environmental reports for senior review and regulatory forms.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering or Environmental Science or equivalent.
  • 0 to 2 years of experience in environmental consulting.
  • Knowledge of BC Contaminated Sites Regulation and associated guidance, protocols, etc., and federal guidelines.
  • Co-op or internship experience conducting field work, particularly in complex drilling and hydrogeological settings, and overseeing remediation contractors.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent English writing and verbal communication skills.
