SLR Consulting (Canada) is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Scientist to join our Land Quality and Remediation team in Vancouver, BC.
About the RoleWe are looking for a talented professional with a strong technical background in environmental site assessment and remediation, waste discharge permitting and compliance, and/or construction environmental management. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing contaminated sites projects, coordinating and supervising field staff and subcontractors, and engaging with clients and other project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Manage contaminated sites projects, including site investigations, monitoring and sampling programs, and remediation programs, to ensure successful project delivery with respect to health & safety, scope, schedule, budget, QA/QC, and client satisfaction.
- Coordinate and supervise field staff and subcontractors, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Engage with experienced senior team members, including Project Directors, Contaminated Sites Approved Professionals, and technical specialists, to develop work plans and execute projects.
- Analyze and interpret environmental data, preparing technical reports for senior review and submission to clients and regulators.
- Liaise and build relationships with clients and other project stakeholders, ensuring excellent service delivery.
- Participate in proposals and other business development opportunities to build SLR's client base and revenue stream.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring staff during project delivery and for other aspects such as Health and Safety, training, team building, and other requirements.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate findings and interpretations with various scientific, planning, and engineering disciplines.

Qualifications/Education/Memberships- 5+ years of experience in the environmental consulting industry.
- Strong technical background in environmental site assessment and remediation, waste discharge permitting and compliance, and/or construction environmental management.
- Working knowledge of provincial (BC CSR) and federal (CCME) environmental regulations and guidelines.
- Undergraduate or Master's degree in environmental science, engineering, or geosciences preferred.
- Professional status or eligibility for professional status with a professional organization.
- Valid driver's license and regular access to a reliable vehicle required for travel to job sites/clients.
