Job Title: Environmental Scientist

Job Summary:

Arcadis is seeking an Environmental Scientist to join our team in Vancouver, BC. As an Environmental Scientist, you will be responsible for conducting fieldwork, including groundwater sampling and installation of groundwater monitoring wells, soil characterization and sampling, soil vapor/indoor air sampling and remediation monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct fieldwork, including groundwater sampling and installation of groundwater monitoring wells, soil characterization and sampling, soil vapor/indoor air sampling and remediation monitoring
  • Stage 2 Preliminary Site Investigations, Detailed Site Investigations, Confirmation of Remediation
  • Site inspections, Phase 1 Site Assessments, and compliance audit support
  • Subcontractor oversight including drillers, utility locators, etc

Additional Duties:

  • Data management
  • Writing and preparation of reports, work plans, letters, and memorandum
  • Preparing cost estimates
  • Conducting project-related research (historical data, regulations, etc.)
  • Preparing periodic status/program reports

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, or related field
  • 3 years or more of related environmental work experience
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for field work

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional designation in Engineering (P.Eng), Geoscience (P.Geo.), Biology (RPBio), Chemistry (P.Chem.), Agrology (P.Ag.) or similar
  • Environmental and construction monitoring
