Join our team at The Joneses, a vibrant restaurant in the heart of downtown Toronto, as a Host/Hostess. As a key member of our front-of-house team, you will be responsible for creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for our guests.

Responsibilities
  • Exude a warm and welcoming presence, in person and over the phone, even in the busiest of circumstances
  • Communicate effectively with Servers, Bartenders and Managers to maintain proper guest flow throughout the restaurant
  • Escort guests to their table, engaging them in friendly conversation
  • Take reservations over the phone and in person with attention to detail
  • Maintain a clean and organized front entrance, host stand and surrounding areas
  • Develop knowledge of table numbers and maintain awareness of each section in the restaurant
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required
Qualifications
  • At least 6 months of prior experience in a similar position
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Minimum 1 year of customer service experience, with restaurant experience an asset
