Representative - Inside Sales Representative - Inside Sales

As a Representative - Inside Sales within the Electrical and Electronic Sales Division, you will play a key role in driving sales growth and customer satisfaction. You will interact with existing customers to increase sales of our products and services, and work closely with outside sales to ensure goals are met.

Responsibilities:
  • Obtain orders through email and telephone calls, verify and enter items, transfer orders to fulfillment, and explain stock-outs and expected delivery dates.
  • Identify opportunities to increase orders by suggesting related items, explaining features, and checking customer buying history.
  • Develop and qualify opportunities passed from marketing, outside sales, and national accounts.
  • Identify ways to improve processes and procedures.
  • Prepare and follow up on quotations to secure orders or determine reasons for lost orders.
  • Review open customer order reports and take action on open items, including those at risk of missing customer delivery dates.
  • Maintain distribution system backorder reports, customer expediting reports, and notices.
  • Provide industry trends, competitive pricing, and customer feedback to management.
Qualifications:
  • High School Degree or Equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Requires knowledge and experience in sales and sales administration, with a focus on continuous learning and professional development.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and work in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to prospect and market concepts to existing and new accounts.
  • Ability to work independently with general supervision and travel up to 25%.
