Early Careers: Retirement Actuarial Delivery Group Internship

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our Actuarial Delivery Group in the North American Retirement Line of Business. As an intern, you will contribute to a range of retirement valuations, post-retirement plans valuations, and special projects.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in training sessions and actively engage in learning opportunities
- Perform actuarial valuations and prepare valuation reports
- Perform data analysis and reconciliations of pension plan or post-retirement plan participant data
- Perform pension benefit calculations using established spreadsheets or our proprietary plan administration system
- Prepare government reporting forms and annual employee benefit statements
- Support special projects as ad-hoc needs arise
- Work with other colleagues to ensure that each project is completed on time and meets quality standards
- Respond to all requests and communications effectively and efficiently
- Current university student (at least second year) required, in actuarial sciences or a program with heavy emphasis on mathematics, statistics, or engineering
- Actuarial exams are not required
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Organized, detail-oriented, effective time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and a demonstrated ability to interact with colleagues at all levels
- Strong client delivery orientation
- Ability to work both independently and on client teams
- Ability to apply problem-solving techniques in a business environment
- Fluency in French and English, both oral and written
- Ability to work in a hybrid or onsite setting
