Your future role on our team

BBA is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineering Leadfor mine process plants to support our continued growth Western Canada. Theselected candidate will play a key role in all phases of engineering projectsfrom front end-studies through to field implementation with a focus on detailedengineering. As a senior member of the mechanical engineering team, thecandidate will be responsible for ensuring technical quality, developing newbusiness opportunities, and fostering team development.

Develop mechanical scopes of work, budgets, and proposals.Perform high level engineering on major mechanical packages such as: crushing and grinding circuits, flotation circuits, leaching circuits, dewatering.Lead mechanical scope on conceptual design studies, pre-feasibility studies, feasibility studies, and detailed engineering.Be a key team member for small to major brownfield/greenfield mining projectsParticipate in site visits, inspections, condition assessments, commissioning, and testing (site visits will typically be 3-10 days at a time up to twenty-five days a year. These number are negotiable during the interview process)Provide mentorship and coaching of junior/intermediate engineers, actively sharing knowledge, and supporting the enhancement of skills within the teamFoster a culture of having fun at work while producing high quality professional deliverables.Process plant layout design oversight: Strong asset

Proven track record with strong technical skills as a Mechanical Engineer on mineral process plant projectsExperience in base and precious metals: assetAbility to interpret PFD's and process design criteria from process engineering, oversee plant layouts, mechanical equipment selection, technical bid evaluation and validation and pump sizingUniversity degree in Mechanical Engineering12+ years of relevant engineering experience in the mining sector with a preference for 5+ years in consulting12 to 25 years (pay range based on experience) of relevant engineering experience in the mining sector with a preference for 5+ years in consultingMust be a registered P.Eng in CanadaValid driver's licenseAvailable for site work and short-term assignments (3-10 days at a time up to twenty-five days a year)Site experience considered a strong asset
