Senior Mechanical Engineering Lead

BBA, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineering Lead to join our team in Western Canada. As a key member of our mechanical engineering team, you will play a crucial role in all phases of engineering projects, from front-end studies to field implementation, with a focus on detailed engineering.
Key Responsibilities- Develop mechanical scopes of work, budgets, and proposals that meet the needs of our clients.
- Perform high-level engineering on major mechanical packages, including crushing and grinding circuits, flotation circuits, leaching circuits, and dewatering.
- Lead mechanical scope on conceptual design studies, pre-feasibility studies, feasibility studies, and detailed engineering projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver small to major brownfield/greenfield mining projects.
- Participate in site visits, inspections, condition assessments, commissioning, and testing, with occasional travel to project sites.
- Provide mentorship and coaching to junior/intermediate engineers, sharing knowledge and expertise to enhance skills within the team.
- Foster a culture of innovation and excellence, while ensuring high-quality professional deliverables.
- Proven track record with strong technical skills as a Mechanical Engineer on mineral process plant projects.
- Experience in base and precious metals, with a strong understanding of process design criteria and plant layouts.
- Ability to interpret PFDs and process design criteria, oversee plant layouts, mechanical equipment selection, technical bid evaluation, and validation.
- University degree in Mechanical Engineering, with a minimum of 12 years of relevant engineering experience in the mining sector.
- Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) in Canada, with a valid driver's license.
- Availability for site work and short-term assignments, with occasional travel to project sites.
