About the JobThe General Office Clerk will work in a fast-paced environment, requiring strong organizational skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to function effectively in a stressful environment.
Responsibilities- Booking appointments and updating client records in a database
- Answering phones and responding to inquiries
- Providing administrative support to the Nova Scotia Breast Screening Program
- Working independently with minimal direction and/or supervision
- Meeting deadlines and handling multiple tasks concurrently
- Minimum High School diploma or G.E.D.
- Graduate from a recognized Office administration, Business or Secretarial Diploma Program preferred
- Minimum six (6) months related administrative/secretarial experience
- Strong working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office, and Database programs
- Excellent judgment, diplomacy, and discretion in handling confidential and/or sensitive information
- Proven time management and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated high regard for quality, accuracy, and attention to detail
