Seeking a Manager, Programming and Learning to lead programming and training at the Vancouver Public Library, responsible for system-wide planning, development, and implementation of adult programming and training.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead programming and training at the Vancouver Public Library, including system-wide planning, development, and implementation of adult programming and training.
- Manage and operate the Inspiration Lab at the Central Library.
- Ensure efficient and effective delivery of library service at the Central Library.
- Manage human, financial, and material resources in accordance with the library's mission, values, and goals.
Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Library and Information Science or equivalent education and experience.
- Post-secondary courses in management studies.
- Five years recent relevant experience, including a minimum of three years experience in a supervisory position.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Thorough knowledge of current trends and industry best practices in areas of responsibility.
- Current knowledge of library service, administration, and management.
- Demonstrated ability to manage the delivery of library services and to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities at the same time.
- Demonstrated record of achieving strategic outcomes in a timely manner.
- Ability to be innovative and flexible in a rapidly changing library environment.
- Demonstrated level of professionalism and confidentiality with strong ethics.
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
- Excellent conflict management and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of financial management methods.
- Proficient with programs including Microsoft Office and library technology.
Affiliation: Exempt
Employment Type: Regular Full-Time
Salary: $111,139 to $138,924 annually
Work Schedule: 37.5 Hours per Week
