The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the restaurant industry, with a proven track record of culinary management and coaching skills. They will be responsible for:
- Selecting, training, and developing a team in tandem with the Chef de Cuisine
- Managing inventory, food, and labour costs
- Ensuring all meals are prepared and presented according to specifications
- Serving as a leader and mentor within the restaurant team
- Creating and executing seasonal menu innovation with the Culinary team
- Protecting the restaurant and guests by complying with sanitation, safety, and proper food handling procedures
The successful candidate will possess:
- Valid BC Foodsafe Certification
- Prior experience in the restaurant industry
- Self-motivation, organization, and ability to multi-task effectively
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including days, nights, and weekends
- Punctuality and reliability
- Excellent interpersonal skills with guests and employees
- Ability to curate and innovate new menus
