ROLE

The Warehouse Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the efficient functioning of our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual who can take direction while also possessing the initiative to handle tasks independently. They should exhibit a strong team-oriented approach and a "roll up your sleeves" attitude, coupled with a commitment to getting the job done effectively.


Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Utilize computer systems, including ERP software (preferably SAP), Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Receive goods accurately and efficiently.
  • Pick, pack, and ship orders with precision and attention to detail.
  • Conduct inventory counts to maintain accurate stock levels.
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 20lbs without strain and being on their feet for up to 8 hours per day, including occasional offloading of boxes from containers.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet trucks, pallet wrapping machines, and electric standalone tow motors confidently and safely, preferably possessing an up-to-date operating certificate.
  • Maintain proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
  • Demonstrate organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Accept constructive feedback and direction from supervisors.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly working environment.
  • Collaborate with the Warehouse Manager and other team members as required.


Required (Basic) Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred.
  • Proficiency in computer usage and familiarity with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and operate warehouse equipment safely.
  • Strong communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and tasks.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy, and efficiency in all warehouse operations.
