About the Position
Working closely with the Director of Finance, the Finance Manager will be part of the Western Canadian CFO team, with personnel in Burnaby, Chilliwack, and Winnipeg. The successful applicant will be based out of our Burnaby regional office at a minimum of 3 days each week. HUB offers great advancement opportunities, a great culture, and the flexibility of a hybrid work environment. This is a maternity leave coverage for one year, starting in July 2024.
Our goals are to:
Provide service and support to the business so that they have all the financial information they need to make informed decisions.
Continuously improve our workflows and procedures to optimize results.
The primary responsibilities include:
Manage and coordinate the month-end deliverables, both locally and corporately.
Manage and coordinate the monthly forecast to ensure it's as accurate as possible.
Provide guidance to the other members of the team and step in to help, as necessary.
Liaise with our sales team and executive management for finance-related inquiries.
Maintain and distribute existing reporting and analysis as related to financial and operational metrics.
Liaise between finance and operations concerning transaction processing in our Business Management System.
Provide ad-hoc financial and operational analysis to support business decisions.
Research, identify, and communicate key variances relating to financial and operational metrics.
Improve upon existing and implement new reporting as requested by management.
Manage and coordinate the annual budget process.
Manage any current and future mergers and acquisitions from a financial standpoint.
Implement procedural change to improve workflows and increase efficiencies.
Liaise with corporate finance to ensure we are compliant with all corporate requirements and requests.
Various other assignments, as required.
Position Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Completion of CPA program.
Advanced MS Excel skills with a minimum of 7-10 years practical use in a finance-related position.
Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities.
Strong management skills.
Strong communication skills.
The expected salary range for this position is $50/hr to $60/hr CAD and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope, and level.
