**Title**: Manager, Financial Planning
**Salary**: $97,462 - $114,661 - $131,861 per year (pay range explained below)
**Contract**: Temporary - until April 30, 2025
**Hours**: 37.5 Hours, Monday - Friday (core hours 9am - 3pm)
**Location**: Metro Vancouver: Alberni Office - on the ancestral Coast Salish Territories of the Squamish, Musqueam & Tsleil-Wuatuth Nations - Hybrid working is an option (in line with FNHA’s flex work policy (minimum 50% in office).
**About the role**
As the Manager, Financial Planning, you will manage the development and implementation of specialized financial programs and services. You will support the Director in the delivery of strategic and tactical budget advice to the VP and CEO. As well, you will develop and implement the necessary policies, procedures, practices for all reporting areas.
**About you**
To be successful in this role you will have
- Education
- Successful completion of a degree with specialization in accounting, finance, business administration, commerce.
Occupational Certification
- Recognized accounting designation (CA, CMA, or CGA)
Experience
- 8 years or more specialized experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge and Competencies
- Advanced knowledge of the concepts, practices, methods and techniques pertaining to the Finance field, including knowledge of specialized disciplines including those related to project planning, expenditure forecasting, budgeting, strategic financial analysis, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Solid planning skills to direct the development, implementation and delivery of multi-disciplinary Finance programs and services, and to manage related projects and initiatives
- Advanced communication and interpersonal skills to provide and advanced level of expertise and advice, and to represent the department on projects, initiatives, committees and work groups
- Solid analytical skills to assess Finance and budgetary practices, policies, processes and metrics; and to interpret results of research and analysis in the specialized Finance program areas

The Pay Range is the minimum and maximum annual salary based on full time equivalent hours. Incumbents are typically hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on their knowledge, skills, abilities and experience in relation to the role requirements. The top 10% of the pay range is for the incumbents who are industry experts in the job with the combination of exceptional experience and competencies needed to perform all duties and responsibilities at a superior capability level. Internal employee compensation will be determined as per the FNHA Employee Total Compensation Policy.
As a health and wellness organization, the FNHA has aligned with the Provincial Public Health Order released on October 14, 2021. We have a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy for all employees at First Nations Health Authority. This policy requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. If selected for employment, you will be required to provide proof of vaccination by providing a copy of your BC Vaccination Card Passport with the QR code.
