Reporting to the R&D Manager, the Research and Development Technician conceptualizes, develops, researches, and fine-tunes new products and processes in the food industry.


This role requires a blend of creativity and a scientific approach with strong organizational skills to deliver expected outcomes in a rapidly evolving environment. Are you up for the challenge?


Here are the specific responsibilities that await you:

  • Conduct studies and trials for the development of industrial innovations.
  • Develop new products.
  • Characterize the properties of new products and adjust existing ones.
  • Define the biochemical conditions of new products.
  • Determine shelf life.
  • Research new ingredients to meet specified parameters.
  • Conduct tests to qualify products according to defined formulations.
  • Update technical sheets, nutritional values, allergen sheets, and certificates of analysis for raw materials.
  • Collect data, analyze and interpret results, draft reports, and present findings.
  • Prepare and submit technical information.
  • Act as a technical expert for various internal and external sectors.
  • Evaluate various suppliers and provide recommendations.
  • Communicate with raw material suppliers to obtain the required profiles.
  • Ensure compliance with nutrition and labeling laws and regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with current company policies and procedures in research and development.
  • Identify new and beneficial technologies for the company.
  • Monitor trends in the health sector.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

You have the following skills to meet the challenge:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science and Technology, Chemistry, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in R&D in dehydrated and liquid food products.
  • Creative with a scientific approach.
  • Structured, organized, and results-oriented.
