We are seeking a psychiatric nurse practitioner (independent contractor) who will conduct assessments for mental disorders such as ADHD, ODD, bipolar, and other mental health conditions. You will also be responsible for developing treatment plans and collaborating with our team to support our client's mental health needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnosing and treating ADHD and other mental health conditions. Please only apply if you have done such assessments in your career.
Key Responsibilities:
*Perform comprehensive assessments and diagnostic evaluations for ADHD and other mental health disorders.
*Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the therapy team.
*Monitor clients’ progress and make adjustments to treatment plans as necessary.
*Educate and support clients and their families regarding ADHD and mental health management.
* Stay current with best practices and research in the mental health field.
Qualifications:
*Master’s degree in nursing specializing in psychiatric/mental health.
*Current registration as a nurse practitioner in Ontario.
* Experience in diagnosing and treating ADHD and other mental health conditions.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to establish rapport and build trust with clients
*Empathy and compassion for clients experiencing mental health challenge
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
What We Offer:
*Competitive compensation with a 60/40 split (60% to the contractor).
* Flexible working hours. A supportive, inclusive, and family-oriented work environment
Job Type: Part-time as independent contractor
Pay: $70.00-$90.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10-15 per week based on demand and willingness to travel to each location
Work Location: Travel to each of our offices as demand requires. This can be discussed to suit
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Ability to commute:
- Reliably commute to Arms Open offices

- Master's Degree (required)
