  • Emergency Response and Mine Rescue
  • Shaft Measurement and reliability
  • Survey and Mapping
  • MRC Raise Development

SafeSight’s collection capability generates highly accurate 3D models, HD Video, and thermal imaging for analysis and decision making.

Position

Join the SafeSight team as a Senior Sales and Business Development Manager and play a pivotal role in driving sales growth within the mining sector. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in sales management, account management, and business development within the mining industry. You will be responsible for identifying opportunities, cultivating relationships, and closing deals. Your proactive approach, industry expertise, and sales acumen will be instrumental in achieving our sales objectives.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Sales and Business Development Manager on our team, you will be:

  • Collaborating with the sales and marketing team to develop and implement effective strategies to generate leads and drive sales within the mining sector
  • Building and nurturing relationships with prospective and existing clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions
  • Conducting product presentations and demonstrations to showcase the value proposition to potential customers
  • Negotiating terms of sale, pricing, and contracts to secure profitable deals
  • Staying abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth
  • Providing exceptional customer service throughout the sales process, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention

Essential Qualifications

  • 8 to 10 years of proven track record in sales management, account management, and business development in mining or related industries is preferred
  • In-depth understanding of the mining industry, with established connections
  • In-depth knowledge of sales techniques, strategies, and best practices
  • Familiarity with mining processes, equipment, and technologies is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close deals effectively
  • Proven high close sales rate
  • Customer-centric mindset with a focus on delivering exceptional service.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work in North Bay, Ontario

Preferred Skills

  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Experience in working collaboratively with the internal marketing team
  • Strong knowledge of HubSpot CRM
  • Key experience in one or more of the following areas: Shaft, Survey, Mine Rescue, or MRC
  • Fluency in a secondary language is an asset, but not required
