As a Salesforce Junior Administrator, you will assist in customizing and maintaining the Salesforce platform to meet our business needs. You will manage user accounts and permissions, support data accuracy through basic data management tasks, and help create simple reports and dashboards. Additionally, you will provide first-level user support and training, ensuring that users can effectively utilize Salesforce. This role offers significant opportunities for growth, allowing you to develop your skills and potentially advance to more senior positions within the organization.

Key Roles

Manage users and permissions:

Monitor user activity and ensure users are following best practices and security protocols.

Assist with user training and help onboard new users and provide basic training sessions.

Assist with fields, page layouts, and workflows:

Document changes and keep records of customizations and changes made to the system.

Collaborate with senior administration to understand requirements for more complex customization tasks.

Support data management:

Assist in validating data accuracy and consistency.

Perform simple data analysis tasks to support business needs.

Create basic reports and dashboards:

Gather requirements and work with users to understand their reporting needs.

Maintain existing reports and dashboards to ensure they are up-to-date and functioning correctly.

Guidance to Programming Team:

Collaborate on Advanced Customizations and work closely with the Salesforce programming team to implement advanced customizations and integrations that go beyond basic administrative tasks.

Clearly communicate business requirements and user needs to the programming team to ensure that technical solutions align with organizational goals.

Help test and deploy new features and customizations developed by the programming team, ensuring they function correctly and meet user expectations.


Additional Responsibilities

Assist in customizing Salesforce applications:

Learn and apply best practices and implement Salesforce best practices under supervision.

Support third-party integrations, when required.

Manage user accounts and permissions:

Provide first-level support for user issues related to accounts and permissions.

Assist in conducting regular security audits to ensure compliance.

Ensure cost effectiveness of deployed licensing and deploy changes if required.

Support data accuracy:

Help with data migration projects as needed.

Assist in managing data backups and recovery processes.

Create basic reports and dashboards:

Learn how to optimize reports for better performance and usability.

Collect and act on user feedback to improve reporting solutions.

Provide user support:

Create and maintain user guides and documentation.

Establish a feedback loop to continuously improve user support.

Act as liaison between the user and the Salesforce support team (as needed)

Escalate issues to the IT Manager or Salesforce support (as needed)

Perform routine maintenance tasks:

Assist with applying system updates and patches, if/when required.

Help monitor system performance and report issues.

Communicate any upcoming major changes or potential system impacts relating to Salesforce

Participate in Salesforce training programs and webinars:

Have a learning mindset and a willingness to learn and grow in the role.

Enroll in and complete Salesforce training on Trailhead.

Continually complete Salesforce-related training to improve and advance.


TEAM ENGAGEMENT

Attend and participate in Team meetings, general staff meetings and company functions.

Use company policies and procedures (Employee Handbook, policies, and procedures, etc.) to guide interactions with co-workers

Participate in the organization’s Continuous Care Cycle including, regular employee Check-Ins and Annual Values Reviews

Attend and participate in staff meetings and other company functions


Knowledge, Experience & Skills:

Experience working in a team or office environment

High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in computer science or related field is a plus

No prior Salesforce experience required, but any exposure to Salesforce or similar CRM systems is beneficial

Salesforce Certification not required, but a plus if you have completed any Salesforce training or certification

Basic understanding of Salesforce, good communication skills, willingness to learn, and ability to work in a team

Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot basic issues

Strong attention to detail

Ability to work with minimal guidance

Integrity, professionalism, confidentiality, humility

Microsoft Office Suite
