Administrative Assistant

Hey you Are you passionate about true crime? Are we more likely to find you devouring an exciting book than on a treadmill? Are you meticulous? Do you have a solid knowledge of written English? If you answered yes to all these questions, CEP Forensic is the best place to explore your career options
Founded in 1972 by 3 engineers specialized in electrical failures and fire, our company now employs 135 workers spread across 10 offices throughout Canada. In over 50 years of existence, CEP Forensic has successfully determined the most probable cause of a loss or a failure in over 120,000 cases. Typically, insurance companies, or attorneys in case of litigation, assign our experts to produce reports in a wide range of fields: Fire Investigation, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical and Biomechanical, Structural and Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering, Metallurgy, Collision Reconstruction, Chemistry and Chemical Engineering as well as Environmental Science.
We are currently looking for the rare gem to join our team as an Administrative Assistant. If you can juggle several tasks at once and work rigorously all the while teasing your colleagues, then we want to have you among us.
The quest
As an administrative assistant, your role will consist of providing administrative support to the various experts you will assist. In other words, you will be the Watson to their Sherlock. Indeed, while their main task will be to solve forensic puzzles, you will have to:
- Work on investigation-related documents: transcription, revision, layout, and sending of documents (correspondence and technical reports);
- Provide administrative support to the various members of the team, including the investigators;
- Ensure the administrative coordination of the various files;
- Ensure the accuracy of administrative information in files and carry out the necessary updates (communicate with clients if necessary);
- Monitor the life cycle of projects up to their billing and closure;
- Replace the receptionist occasionally (breaks, lunch, absences, and vacations);
- Any other related task.
What’s in your bag?
- A diploma in office automation, secretarial work, or any other equivalent training;
- High skills regarding the use of a computer and the Microsoft Office suite (mainly Word);
- Strong proficiency in both written and spoken English;
- Communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work under pressure and meet various deadlines;
- Demonstrated ability to work productively with frequent interruptions;
- Autonomy, sense of organization, and priorities;
- Concerned about providing good customer service;
- Knowledge of Salesforce is an asset.
But as if that wasn't already enough, we're not just looking for someone who will simply meet our requirements. First and foremost, we are looking for someone who will bring a unique personality and a passion for writing, organization, and teamwork. It's not always easy to offer supporting work, but if like us, you know how crucial Watson's work is to the success of Sherlock, we absolutely need you In return, here are some rewards that await you:
The benefits
- A work environment in which you can both count on others and have lots of fun;
- Competitive social benefits: health care, dental care, vision care, psychological support, assistance programs for employees and their families, telemedicine services, allowances for sports and work at home, several paid leaves (including your birthday), events and activities for employees, and much more;
- The opportunity of a lifetime to work with extraordinary people.
If you are proud of your expertise in administration, have a bag full of all the necessary tools, and are attracted by the many rewards we have to offer you, apply to CEP Forensic and become our next colleague
