Your Opportunity

BDO Canada's Halifax office is looking for a Senior Accountant to join the Assurance team and own the following responsibilities:

  • Conduct audits, prepare working papers, and financial statements in accordance with regulatory standards
  • Perform review enagagements for a diverse clientele
  • Streamline the preparation of year-end engagements and tax returns for clients across diverse industries
  • Establish and cultivate positive working relationships with clients, and promptly address their requests and suggestions
  • Contribute to business development initiatives and identify new business opportunities with existing clients
  • Maintain ongoing communication with team members regarding progress updates and issues

Your experience and education

  • You have successfully completed your CPA designation or working towards it.
  • You should have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in external audit within the public accounting industry.
  • You prioritize teamwork, client service, and quality while completing detailed work.
  • You exhibit strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
