Your Opportunity
Our Halifax an/or St. John’s office is looking for a Manager or Senior Manager to join the Assurance team and own the following responsibilities:
- Plan, supervise, and execute assurance and non-assurance engagements for private or public clients while ensuring adherence to relevant professional standards and Firm policies
- Manage Assurance projects such as preparing financial statements, conducting due diligence procedures, providing capital-raising services, and collaborating on tax services for assurance and non-assurance clients.
- Continuously cultivate a portfolio of new clients and identify business opportunities for existing clients.
- Utilize industry and business expertise to anticipate, identify, and resolve issues that are pertinent to the client's business
- Build positive working relationships with clients and effectively respond to request and suggestions
- Effectively communicate with team members regarding progress updates and issues on an ongoing basis
- Engage in training staff and invest in the professional development of your team

Your experience and education
- You should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in audit and assurance within the public accounting industry, with at least 1 year at the management level
- Successfully completed your CPA designation
- You must have a comprehensive understanding of PSAS, ASPE and ASNPO files
- You prioritize teamwork, client service, and quality while completing detailed work
- You demonstrate exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
