Job Description:
As a Financial Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting the finance team by analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and assisting in budgeting and forecasting processes. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your analytical skills and gain valuable experience in the financial sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, analyze, and interpret financial data to support decision-making processes.
- Prepare financial reports, charts, and presentations for senior management.
- Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets and forecasts, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company guidelines.
- Create and maintain financial models to project future financial performance.
- Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies between actual and budgeted figures, and provide explanations for significant variances.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including account reconciliations and journal entries.
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis and projects as required by management.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in financial analysis or a related role. Internships or co-op experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with financial software and databases. Experience with financial modeling and data visualization tools is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and take on new challenges.
