As the PIPP Benefits Administrator you will investigate, assess, and administer bodily injury claim benefits of moderate complexity, such as chiropractic and physiotherapy treatment, permanent impairment ratings, dental, and medical expense claims of varying complexity.

Responsibilities

  • Advises customers on benefits available, coverage and file progress; directs customers to the appropriate resource if the customer’s enquiry cannot be addressed by the Benefit Administration Unit.
  • Develops a thorough understanding of the Personal Injury Protection Plan (PIPP) product and its value for Manitobans.
  • Administers dental claims and chiropractic claims for other Injury Claims Management (ICM) departments.
  • Independently processes authorizations and renders decisions of moderate complexity for entitlements on medical expense claims.
  • Receives notification of incoming documentation on medical expense only claims, and independently assesses and completes the required response.
  • Reviews current medical information to determine entitlements and requests further information when required.
  • Contacts customers, service providers, and/or Case Managers to confirm information or resolve discrepancies, as required.

  • Approves customer and vendor submitted accounts as required.

  • Administrer les demandes de soins dentaires et de traitements chiropratiques pour les autres services de Gestion des dommages corporels.
  • En toute autonomie, traiter les autorisations et rendre des décisions modérément complexes quant aux indemnités accordées pour les demandes de remboursement de frais médicaux.
  • Recevoir les avis concernant l’arrivée de documents associés aux demandes concernant exclusivement le remboursement de frais médicaux, puis traiter et mener à bien de manière autonome, l’intervention nécessaire.
  • Étudier les versions à jour des dossiers médicaux pour déterminer les prestations accordées, et demander des précisions lorsque cela est nécessaire.
  • Entrer en contact avec les clients, les fournisseurs de services ou les gestionnaires de cas pour vérifier l’information ou pour résoudre les écarts, au besoin.




Qualifications


  • Thirty credit hours of post-secondary education in business administration, management or related discipline
  • Certificate or diploma in Business Administration, Management or related discipline.
  • Two years of related customer service and/or administrative office.

  • Trente heures-crédits d’études postsecondaires en administration des affaires, en gestion ou dans une discipline connexe.
