Reporting to the Vice President Business Development, the Marketing & Business Development (BD) Coordinator will be crucial in supporting marketing and business development initiatives. This multi-functional role involves collaborating with senior leadership in Canadian and international markets, providing comprehensive administrative support to the Marketing department, and coordinating various activities to promote IMP Aerospace and Defence's offerings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Market Research & Intelligence: Help gather market research and intelligence, develop business cases, and prepare proposals.
  • Presentation & Briefing Material: Prepare and complete briefing packages and PowerPoint presentations for company visits and prospective clients.
  • Event Coordination: Participate in and coordinate logistics for trade shows, conferences, and other industry events as required.
  • Promotional Support: Help develop and implement promotional strategies, advertising campaigns, and promotional materials and presentations.
  • Customer Engagement: Organize and support customer visits and tours of IMP facilities.
  • Marketing Collateral Management: Maintain the marketing database, including brochures, presentations, and other documents. Ensure promotional materials are up-to-date and coordinate with designers and marketing agencies as needed.
  • Project Coordination: Assist management with day-to-day marketing tasks and coordinate marketing projects and activities as requested.
  • Database & CRM Management: Manage and update company databases and customer relationship management systems.
  • Administrative Support: Maintain correspondence and filing systems (digital and paper). Prepare written and electronic correspondence in accordance with administrative directives.
  • Resource Management: Manage the replenishment of equipment and supplies, including coordinating the marketing team's travel requirements cost-effectively.
  • Financial Administration: Prepare and control financial documentation, including credit card expenses, expense claims, and timekeeping.
  • VP Support: Perform administrative functions for the VP Business Development International Marketing.
  • Travel Coordination: Coordinate travel and accommodation for staff and visitors, including catering arrangements for meetings with current and prospective clients.
  • Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned.
What You Will Bring:
  • Education: Post-secondary education (bachelor's degree or diploma) with a concentration in marketing, business development, or communications.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience in writing and developing talking points and presentations is preferred.
  • Proposal Development: Experience with proposal development is an asset.
  • Technical Skills: Strong computer skills, particularly in the MS Office Suite and database management. Experience with Salesforce, Publisher, and other graphic software (Adobe, Canva) is preferred.
  • Executive Experience: Experience working with senior-level executives is preferred.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Superior interpersonal and communication skills across all levels within the organization and customer organizations.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Independence & Motivation: Self-directed, self-motivated, results-driven, and goal-oriented, able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, when necessary.
  • Social Media Management: Oversee a company's interactions with the public by implementing social media platforms' content strategies, analyzing engagement data, posting media, maintaining content integrity, identifying trends, and planning digital campaigns.
  • Safety & Compliance: Demonstrate a commitment to IMP's Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment policies. Focus on individual safety and the safety of others.
