Health Information Specialist Trainer

I am currently working with a Health care provider to recruit an experienced Health Information Specialist Trainer who will be required to train up their staff across the entire organization.

Experience:

  1. Proficiency in current workflows for the roles to be trained (clinical, ancillary, revenue cycle)
  2. Proficiency in understanding the new Hospital Information System
  3. Experience working with key stakeholders to ensure departmental needs are being met
  4. Leading classroom on the new HIS functionality through effective facilitation processes
  5. Monitoring and reporting training milestone achievements over the course of the initial implementation
  6. Preparing, setting up and facilitating classes/classroom sessions
  7. Collecting feedback from trainees in class and communicate that information to the Training Coordinators and Training Manager
  8. Recording questions (Parking Lot) that arise in the classroom or reported concerns captured by other Operation Monarch team members
  9. Administering end-user proficiency assessments and in-system checklists
  10. Troubleshooting problems and questions from end users

Must Have:

  1. Experience in a health care/public sector preferred
  2. Experience with Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Excel) and SharePoint
  3. Some working knowledge and understanding of learning platforms and LMS

Qualifications:

Post-secondary education in Adult Education, Instructional Design, Computer Science, or equivalent business/clinical experience (ex. Nurse Educator)
