We are looking for an Environmental Scientist who wants to make a difference with a company that cares about its people.

Responsibilities
  1. Project manage and assist projects within the remediation and risk practice area.
  2. Prepare technical documents (e.g., Phase I/II ESAs, groundwater monitoring, conceptual site models) for all market sectors (industrial, real estate, mining, oil & gas).
  3. Assist with risk-based projects (e.g., site-specific guideline development [Tier 2 adjustment, subsoil salinity tool, dilution factors, etc.], soil vapour assessments, minor exceedance justifications, liability assessments, screening-level risk assessments).
  4. Conduct intermediate technical reviews on remediation and risk projects.
  5. Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical support to junior professionals.
  6. Prepare proposals and support responses to Requests for Proposals.
  7. Develop and maintain relationships with clients, regulators, suppliers, and peers.
About You and Your Qualifications
  1. You want a primarily office-based position (estimated >90% office work) but are willing to support/lead local fieldwork within Calgary and the surrounding municipalities as required.
  2. You have 3 – 8 years experience in environmental consulting.
  3. Graduated from university with a bachelor’s degree in a science-related discipline (e.g., environmental science, chemistry, biology).
  4. Currently hold, eligible for, or in training for a professional designation.
  5. Working knowledge and good understanding of regulatory guidelines and contaminated site management frameworks.
  6. Experienced in managing, leading, and overseeing remediation and risk projects.
  7. Some experience with conceptual site model development, screening-level risk assessment, data gap analysis, site-specific guideline development (e.g., Tier 2 adjustment, subsoil salinity tool), statistical analysis, and/or hydrogeology will be considered an asset.
  8. You have excellent technical writing skills.
  9. Willing to learn new things, hone your skills, and take ownership of new projects.
