Job Description:

The responsibilities of the Business Development Manager role are to:

  • Drive new business by prospecting via LinkedIn, email, phone, and other networks while fostering relationships with current clients.
  • Expand client base across Greater Toronto Area into Quebec.
  • Build strong, long-term client relationships with those who need cross-border logistics solutions.
  • Manage your own pipeline and, over time, have the chance to build and lead your own team
  • Understand client shipping needs to provide them with solution options
  • Negotiate contracts and rates in order to secure bid and client
  • Meet or exceed monthly sales targets to contribute to overall company growth.


The Ideal Candidate:

  • Has at least 2 years of Business Development Management experience, specifically within a background in logistics and freight forwarding
  • Is bilingual (French and English preferred; Spanish is an asset)
  • Located in Ontario, preferably near the Greater Toronto Area or Quebec, to facilitate potential in-person client interactions and have familiarity with local market routes and pricing. Note: This is a fully remote role
  • Has a book of business / pipeline that they are able to come in with to hit the ground running
  • Is available Monday - Friday 8 am - 6 pm EST
  • Is self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to thrive in a remote sales role with structured support from a dedicated admin and customer service team.


Compensation: $144,000+ CAD/year which includes a $72,000 CAD base salary plus commissions and bonuses
