The Financial Analyst is an integral component of the transactional functions at Decibel and will have an involvement in the accounting processes. Key Responsibilities:

Full-cycle Accounting:

· Assist with month-end close process including monthly accruals entries and balance sheet reconciliations.

· Perform AR/AP Trend analysis and investigate changes.

· Assist with Statistic Canada surveys.

· Assist with quarter-end reviews and year-end audit requests.

· Assist with and maintain Prepaids, AR and AP subledgers, Debt and other assets for accounting transactions.

· Ad hoc requests and analysis, as required.

Internal and External Customer Communications:

· Support internal team members relating to day-to-day transactional needs.

· Other duties as requested by your manager


Key Competencies:

· Knowledge of reconciliations, month-end process, and variance analysis

· Possesses the knowledge and confidence to propose possible improvements to processes and implement selected solutions.

· Willingness to dig into details and perform investigations.

· Strong organizational skills with ability to set objectives and goals and anticipate roadblocks.

· Strong attention to detail.

· Must be active in supporting peers, brainstorming issues, and be flexible in completing assigned projects


Qualifications:

· At least 1-3 years’ experience in accounting or related areas.

· Completion of an Accounting Diploma or combination of experience and diploma from a different program.

· A professional accounting designation, while not required, is preferred.

· Financial reporting experience under IFRS accounting knowledge is an asset.

· Highly organized and can manage multiple deliverables to meet deadlines in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.

· Is a self-starter with strong critical thinking capabilities and is solution oriented.

· Strong proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook

· Sage X3 or similar ERP system knowledge is an asset.

· Knowledge of IFRS treatment preferred.

· Strong interpersonal skills.
