GMR Housekeeper

Role Status: Full time, permanent, hourly
Job Summary:
The primary role of a Housekeeper is to maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the facility and its surroundings. He/she will do basic and periodic cleaning tasks, such as sweeping, dusting, mopping, washing, vacuuming, and scrubbing all the areas covered in the building. A Housekeeper is also responsible to make sure washrooms are cleaned and sanitized.
Essential Job Functions:
- Maintains a professional appearance with a positive attitude and is adaptable and flexible.
- Is patient, helpful, and is interested in the welfare of the guests and staff.
- Has great attention to detail and works well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Follows staff conduct policies and time management guidelines.
- Is organized and able to prioritize workload.
- Able to multitask for the benefit of quality services.
- Able to work efficiently and independently with minimal supervision.
- Takes pride in a job well done.
- Initiates and constructively develops positive team dynamics with management, peers, and guests.
- Initiates communication or dialogue with supervisor or manager when processes, tasks, and instructions are not clear.
Required Qualifications and Abilities:
- Minimum of 1-year housekeeping experience required
- Completion of grade 12 at the start of employment required
- Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance
- Able to safely lift 40 pounds
- Must be personable, friendly, and outgoing with excellent customer service skills
- High energy and a strong work ethic
Working Conditions:
- Working Indoors and Outbuildings
- Deal with cleaning chemicals
- Able to safely lift up to 40lbs
- Work on your feet most of the time
Compensation and Benefits:
$19.32/hour up to $20.81/hour depending on experience
