Qualifications:

  • 6-10 years of experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint) with extensive experience using Excel for data analysis.
  • Experience with all phases of Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the principles of business analysis.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
  • Master's degree preferred.

Job Overview:

Business Analyst to join the Global Cash Equities Low Touch BA/PM team, which primarily consists of resources across London, Belfast, New York, Toronto, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Pune.

The primary responsibility of the successful candidate will be to own the business analysis and project management for technology projects benefitting the Cash Equities, Delta 1 and Derivatives businesses, with many programs having global impact.

This is a challenging and exciting opportunity within the Equities Technology group, to work in a front-office facing technology team in collaboration with a trade floor business unit to develop our strategically important Cash Low Touch platform.

The Equities business has set an ambitious growth plan, and to help realize this, a strong BA/PM is critical to achieving our goals and enhancing our leading position in the financial market. The successful candidate will play a key role in that success, working in a fast-paced environment alongside a team of highly experienced technologists.

This will require frequent interaction with stakeholders at many levels of the organization, from junior analysts to senior management, across multiple departments including the Front Office Business, Middle Office, Finance, Compliance, Risk, Technology, as well as external vendors.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Business analysis effort to deliver critical projects for the Global Cash Equities business, primarily focusing on strategic platform improvements and client requests.
  • Requirements gathering to Citi standards – scope definition, dependency mapping, BRD/FRD, story points.
  • Management of project deliveries - business discretionary, tech mandatory and regulatory, as assigned.
  • Chairing and driving project-related meetings.
  • Reporting on project status, next steps, issues, and risks to stakeholders and sponsors.
  • Resolve day-to-day project issues and conflicting workload priorities.
  • Project and program oversight and budgeting.
  • Assisting and supporting user community with change management.
  • Overseeing test case creation.
  • Ensuring release contents are understood by the business, including producing release notes.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:

Experience:

  • Significant Business Analysis / Project Management experience across the full project lifecycle (prioritization, requirements, design, development, testing and deployment).
  • Proven delivery record, running multiple projects simultaneously that involve process change and technology enhancements.
  • Experience managing competing priorities in a multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Equities front office experience, particularly in Cash Equities is preferred.
  • Understanding of the Pre-trade, Compliance & Regulatory controls.
  • Understanding of the full trade life cycle.
  • Understanding of regulatory constraints and experience in delivering regulatory projects is extremely desirable.
  • Exposure to Agile project management and principles is preferred.
