Senior Recruitment Consultant

Attract, select and onboard top talent to achieve and support the requirements of CIBC Mellon Hiring Managers. Develop and execute a sourcing strategy based on business needs, increasing organizational productivity and capability. Provide advice and support to management and ensure a positive recruitment experience for hiring managers and candidates.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Lead the full recruitment life cycle, including conducting needs assessments with hiring managers, creating and broadcasting positions, screening applicants, conducting behavioural interviews and managing the hiring manager and candidate experience
Develop and execute creative, cost effective, innovative and productive sourcing strategies including leveraging multiple tools, professional affiliations and social networking
Develop a thorough understanding of the applicable talent pool and competitive business market to attract and source top talent; establish and maintain relationships with prospective candidates to continually build and maintain a talent pipeline
Guide and support hiring managers on recruitment related decisions, including candidate selection and offer details; deliver formal interview skills training sessions to hiring managers
Negotiate and present offers to selected candidates; prepare offer letters
Engage in continuous improvement by analyzing resourcing metrics and implementing feedback where appropriate
Ensure compliance with recruitment and organizational policies, procedures and regulatory requirements; review and update policies and procedures as required; utilize the recruitment management system effectively to drive recruiting activities
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Specific Knowledge & Skills (not preferred or an asset)
- Post-secondary degree or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of progressive recruitment experience
- Knowledge of the financial services industry an asset
- Client service and interpersonal skills; organization and time management skills; strong attention to detail; strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) (experience working with Njoyn considered an asset)
- Experience sourcing and hiring through LinkedIn Recruiter, including proven ability to leverage LinkedIn Recruiter to build talent pipelines and conduct effective searches
- Knowledge of relevant employment legislation
