Position Overview:
This manager role will be responsible for developing and driving key strategic technology programs and initiatives to support the Contact Center Technology functions within Home Depot Canada.
Manager is responsible for understanding The Home Depot Canada's IT systems with a strong focus on customer contact centered solutions. This is a business facing role that serves as a liaison between the business and multiple HD IT teams to ensure that business requirements are properly translated and delivered via technology solutions. The Manager provides direction to all stakeholders and updates leadership teams regularly.
Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for identifying, planning & executing all technology related activities as well as managing our various technology partners, vendors & stakeholders. Develop vision for the overall Contact Centre Technology stack in alignment with product, analytics & business teams while translating it into actionable roadmap.
  • Build relationships across core technology teams and business stakeholders to drive business and technology initiatives.
  • Project management and administration that include work plans, resource planning and control, status reporting, and preparing project budgets and timelines.
  • Proactively communicates status of projects and incidents to peers, leaders, and other stakeholders.
  • Lead initiatives throughout the project lifecycles including discovery and initial assessment, requirements definition, project design, development, testing, implementation, and support.
  • Manage relationships with 3rd party Technology vendors and liaise on expectations and software updates.
  • Resolves incidents by analyzing issues, discerning the most appropriate courses of action, providing tactical direction and, prioritizing resources.
  • Selects, develops, and motivates associates. Conduct goal setting, reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members. Celebrate success and regularly recognize teams and individuals.
  • Hold team and other stakeholders accountable. Proactively discuss challenges and collaborate with others to mitigate risks.

Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field with a minimum of 5+ years of experience in information technology.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in directly leading and developing technology delivery teams.
  • Experience in conducting discovery and implementation of enterprise scale technology solutions (including SaaS) for complex business workflows.
  • Broad working knowledge of Salesforce Service Cloud as well as some knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud is preferred.
  • Delivery and ownership of 2-3 functional projects and technology roadmap projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to attract, motivate and retain top talent.
  • Must be technical, capable of working with development and software engineering teams.
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to maintain relationship and negotiate with vendors.
  • Ability to operate in and leverage resources in a matrixed environment.
  • Ability to analyze and present data to support ideas.
  • Ability to clearly communicate to all levels of the organization.
