THE POSITION
Manage, improve and execute standard operations and processes for wholesaler strategy, supply chain compliance, logistics, and distribution an operational and tactical planning horizon covering the full product portfolio of NNCI. This leader works cross-functionally to tailor and execute key operational processes, namely logistics and transport operations, wholesaler relationship management to achieve NAO Supply Chain objectives and safeguard supply to patients.

RELATIONSHIPS
Reports to the Vice President, Finance & Operations (F&O). This position regularly interacts with NAO Demand Planning & Fulfillment, Quality, Regulatory, Finance Planning & Analysis, Brand leadership and Digital Data & IT, Health authority contacts, key vendors and Wholesalers/Customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Planning:
    Inventory and Fulfilment Planning: Ownership
    Finished Goods Inventory Management & Optimization
  2. Logistics & Distribution Operations:
    Warehouse & Transport Operations: Responsible for overseeing warehouse and transport operations, budgets and management oversight
    Ensure key processes are being monitored and improved when required
    Pick and pack operations and distribution of samples for sales representatives and samples for testing by health authorities
  3. Systems & Operations Quality Oversight:
    Ensure the right systems and processes and secure timely review and improvements
    Product quality and compliance through the supply chain
    Ensure sufficient resources and support for quality investigations and root cause identification in compliance with our QMS (Quality Management System)
  4. Return logistics:
    Oversee return logistics of products in compliance with defined processes
  5. Wholesaler relationship management and strategy:
    Ensure close alignment and key account management of key wholesalers
    Maintain close communication, collaboration at operational and management level
    Participate in relevant industry wide activities
  6. Compliance and key operational projects:
    Key compliance requirements are followed and implemented as per plan
    Ensure sufficient resources, systems and support for relevant operational projects
    Secure resources from supporting organizations to meet all requirements and expectations (&IT)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Mississauga, ON Home Office based. 10% travel required.

DEVELOPMENT OF PEOPLE
Ensure that reporting personnel have individual development plans (IDP), with annual goals and measurements that are consistent with the priorities of the business, and that interim reviews are held so that their work is focused on those priorities, and they understand their level of accountability for results and the measurement process. Ensure that the IDP forms include completed learning and aspiration plans and are in place for all reporting personnel to enable the achievement of goals and capability to assume increased levels of responsibility. Manage the application and communication of all Novo Nordisk policies, procedures, and Novo Nordisk Way.

QUALIFICATIONS
A Bachelor's degree is required
Requires a minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible business-related experience, pharmaceutical experience preferred
Prior management or leadership experience required
Demonstrated strategic business planning and execution experience within supply chain
Experienced engagement and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
