Job Description:

The Product Owner II (KYC Product) is responsible for ensuring that a development team or multiple development teams are creating value for the organization through the delivery of customer-focused product increments. This entails aligning with other Product Owners and senior management to follow a product vision, creating and maintaining a prioritized product backlog, managing delivery blockers, and continuously assessing customer feedback. The Product Owner II should always be considering how to maximize value, assessing how the product or the delivery process can be continuously improved, contributing to a positive work environment, and ensuring that work embodies the Agile principles of transparency, collaboration, and engagement. This role will primarily support KYC Product for AMCB (US) although can be based in Canada.

Job Details:

  1. Develop and execute KYC (Know Your Customer) product strategic & planning process to establish priorities and drive change.
  2. Responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle management of business capabilities to effectively enable KYC program and to create, execute, and evolve long-term Product/Business Capability Roadmaps.
  3. Contributes to the KYC product group health including OKR, maturity measures, financial, capacity, KPIs, and KRIs.
  4. Challenge the norm and provide thought leadership in KYC required control solutions which meet regulatory expectations and also deliver the best-in-class customer and colleague experience.
  5. Work with senior business leaders to ensure our product capabilities and solutions are functionally aligned with requirements and that a fit for purpose solution is designed, with the support from AVP, KYC Engineering.
  6. Mobilize teams & ensure alignment, manage interdependencies, prioritize with other partners to achieve value.
  7. Proactive alignment to three lines of defense strategy, and build strong relationships with AML Compliance, LOBs, and other control functions to meet regulatory expectations.
  8. Supports any regulator exam, audit, or other relevant control execution and review of the KYC Products.
  9. Govern vendor services and risks associated with KYC Products.

Job Requirements:

  1. AML/KYC Customer Due Diligence Expert (ACAMS or CAMS certified preferred)
  2. Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification (Product Owner/Management experience) or Agile delivery experience
  3. Support speed, simplicity, and agility in decision-making and action
  4. Conflict resolution, building partnerships, and perseverance under pressure/crisis
  5. Technologically savvy - demonstrated experience working on technical projects
  6. Experience working with customer and/or commercial portfolios
  7. Financial management
  8. Strategy Development
  9. Business process improvement
  10. Senior-level relationship management
  11. People management or team development experience is helpful
