POSITION OVERVIEW

Reports to: Manager, Global Total Rewards

Location: Vancouver

POSITION SUMMARY

The Specialist, Global Total Rewards will be responsible for providing total rewards support to the Global Human Resources team. Reporting to the Manager, Global Total Rewards, this role will have accountability for supporting global total rewards, total rewards systems administration, reporting, employee onboarding/offboarding, and employee communications.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Specialist, Global Total Rewards will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

Total Rewards

  • Key contributor in the development, implementation, administration, and communication of total rewards programs
  • Provide global total rewards program support to regional HR teams including LTI and ESPP programs (i.e., supporting program implementations and ongoing administration)
  • Assist with the design and execution of special projects within the total rewards function
  • Prepare analysis of total rewards programs including developing, improving and maintaining any total rewards Excel templates
  • Prepare market research and benchmarking, and make recommendations to ensure competitive and equitable total rewards programs
  • Coordinate and complete participation in annual total rewards surveys
  • Support the Corporate annual compensation review process including base salary, STIP and LTI awards
  • Support the annual total rewards budgeting process including quarterly STIP accruals and annual people budget
  • Support Corporate total rewards communications including generating the annual employee total rewards statements, letters and maintaining HR records
  • Support continuous improvement of total rewards processes, programs, practices and documentation by making recommendations and implementing improvements
  • Liase with finance and legal on total rewards programs (i.e. long-term incentive plan administration)


Systems, Data Management, and Reporting

  • Manage share-based compensation administration in Workplace Solutions (by JP Morgan), including reporting, audits/reconciliations, grants, vesting elections, vests/redemptions, SEDI filing reporting, employee inquiries, and employee communications
  • Manage ESPP administration in EquatePlus (by Computershare), including reporting, plan configuration and communications
  • Conduct time off reporting and time off calendar management in HR system (Rise People)
  • Support audits and ensure documentation for total rewards programs is in place and up to date
  • Update employee changes in HR systems in a timely fashion (e.g., Rise People, SAP SuccessFactors)
  • Support HR reporting from various HR systems including Rise People, Workplace Solutions (by JP Morgan), EquatePlus (by Computershare).
  • Make recommendations and coordinate improvements to data management within total rewards systems
  • Manage all user access to HR systems (Workplace Solutions, EquatePlus, Rise People, SAP SuccessFactors, etc.), including onboarding, personnel changes, and offboarding in a time-sensitive manner


Employee Communications

  • Responsible for updating the HR intranet pages, proactively identifying areas for improvement and making updates
  • Develop, deliver and coordinate employee total rewards program onboarding
  • Act as a point of contact for employees regarding total rewards related queries

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Post-secondary education in human resources, finance or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Compensation or Total Rewards role
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, advanced in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and the ability to work with all levels of the organization
  • Must be able to prioritize effectively and communicate updates to internal stakeholders proactively
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality at all times
  • Strong proficiency of Microsoft Office suite and experienced with various HR technologies (preferably SAP SuccessFactors) with a keen interest in working in systems
  • Quick learner who adapts well to new situations
  • Professional HR designation or working towards one is an asset
