Our company specializes in the design, fabrication, and installation of miscellaneous metals and structural steel for the construction industry. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to join our dedicated team.


Key Responsibilities

As a Project Manager, you will be an integral part of our management team, ensuring seamless communication and coordination both internally and externally. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Managing all phases of the project life cycle.
  • Coordinating with Production Managers to oversee shop drawings and fabrication processes.
  • Collaborating with the buyer to procure all necessary materials.
  • Working with the Office Manager to handle all contract and project documentation.
  • Interfacing with General Contractor’s Project Managers and foremen to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Overseeing installation and ensuring timely project completion.

Required Skills

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Extensive knowledge of the construction industry and project management principles.
  • In-depth understanding of miscellaneous metal and structural steel projects. Must have
  • Ability to read, interpret, and understand architectural and structural drawings for material take-off, estimation, and shop drawing preparation.
  • Proficiency in current construction practices, methods, and materials.
  • Familiarity with building codes and standards related to structural steel and miscellaneous metals.
  • Working knowledge of AUTOCAD (preferred) and Microsoft Office applications.

Candidate Profile

To succeed in this role, you must:

  • Exhibit excellent communication skills, with fluency in both French and English.
  • Demonstrate exceptional planning and organizational abilities.
  • Be highly motivated, proactive, and eager to tackle new challenges.
  • Have direct experience managing miscellaneous metals and structural steel projects, either within a specialized sub-trade or with a general contractor.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, though post-secondary education with substantial industry experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry is required.
