We are currently looking for a Medical Advisor for one of our prominent pharmaceutical clients based out of Thornhill, Ontario


Contract duration: 12-15 months (maternity leave replacement)

Location: Ontario - Hybrid or Quebec (Remote)


Role:

The Medical Advisor will execute the local medical activities for the Aesthetics franchise. They will provide thorough up-to-date medical and scientific expertise in Aesthetics to create and drive medical plan delivery to key stakeholders and build partnership with them. To work closely with the internal cross-functional partners and with the medical Dermatology Aesthetics community to ensure high quality scientific and medical, information and education is provided. To collaborate with EMEAC (Regional) and Global team members in the execution of relevant clinical activities in assigned projects and to ensure alignment of local medical activities with the Global strategy.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides medical expertise for our Aesthetics portfolio to ensure high quality scientific and medical advice, education and information to internal and external stakeholders, concerning in line and in pre-launch products and new products under development.
  • Develops the local medical affairs plan for the assigned therapeutical areas according to local and global strategy.
  • Participate actively at EMEAC Medical Team Meetings and relevant Global meetings.
  • Provide comprehensive trainings on products and related diseases to internal staff ensuring accurate delivery of messages in line with global plans for study interpretation and objection handling.
  • Works proactively as strategic partner with Marketing to ensure market preparation pre- and post-launch.
  • Set up and lead medical strategic plan for the company in collaboration with the cross-functional partners contributing to success and appropriate use of products.
  • Responsible to lead, develop, maintain current files on product-relevant medical literature.
  • Supports data dissemination to reinforce clinical awareness and develops and maintains the support of KTLs involved in scientific activities.
  • Attends medical conferences and congresses as required to gain knowledge of progress in the medical areas of focus and bring scientific insights outside in.
  • Review and approve promotional and training material tailored to the needs of the product according to SOPs and local compliance and regulations.
  • Supports regulatory team providing medical insights during the life-cycle of products and in preparation of the market access dossiers
  • Responsible for clinical trial oversight within the country and liaise with the Investigators and the CRO, when applicable


Skills & Qualifications:

  • Medical, Pharmacy, Nursing or higher degree qualification (e.g. MSc, PhD) in life sciences field
  • Dermatology/Aesthetics experience (essential)
  • 2 years experience related to medical pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical devices industry
  • Demonstrated experience of developing and presenting scientific/medical content at a variety of levels and different audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and work effectively in a constantly changing environment.
  • Ability to develop good relationships and credibility with medical professionals
  • 20% travel requirement
