About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Oncologist/Hematologist to join our team at the Abbotsford Centre. As a key member of our collaborative care team, you will be responsible for providing expert care to patients with various types of cancer and blood disorders.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical care to patients with cancer and blood disorders, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and advancements in medical oncology and hematology.
- Participate in clinical, research, and educational activities to enhance patient care and contribute to the growth of our team.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A strong background in medical oncology and hematology, with expertise in treating lymphoma and myeloma.
- Fellowship standing in the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada in Internal Medicine, along with a certificate of Special Competence in Medical Oncology or Hematology.
- Eligibility for licensing with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of British Columbia and credentialing by the Professional Advisory Committee of BC Cancer.
- A clinical appointment in the Division of Medical Oncology in the Department of Medicine at the University of British Columbia.
- A valid license to practice medicine in Canada.
