About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Science Liaison to join our team at Leo Pharma Inc. as a key member of our Medical Affairs department. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing scientific expertise and support to healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders, and other stakeholders in the dermatology field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to engage with key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals in the dermatology field, providing scientific information and support to promote the appropriate use of our products.
  • Conduct scientific presentations and discussions with healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders, and other stakeholders to educate them on our products and their therapeutic areas.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including commercial, medical, and regulatory, to develop and implement strategies to promote our products and advance our business objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest scientific literature and developments in the dermatology field, and apply this knowledge to inform our product development and commercialization strategies.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals, and identify opportunities to engage with them in scientific discussions and collaborations.
  • Provide scientific support to our commercial teams, including the development of sales materials, training programs, and other resources.
  • Contribute to the development of our Integrated Scientific Affairs Plan (iSAP) and define engagement strategies for key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in the development of scientific presentations, posters, and other communication programs to promote our products and advance our business objectives.
  • Collaborate with our Medical Advisor to identify and develop opportunities for investigator-initiated studies and other research initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, guidelines, and company policies, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry developments and trends.
Requirements
  • Medical Doctorate (MD), PhD, or PharmD degree preferred.
  • Minimum Master's degree in life sciences with a focus on immunology and/or healthcare professional background.
  • Thorough knowledge of the healthcare system, disease management, and clinical research.
  • Biologics experience considered an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, including the ability to network.
  • Ability to understand and summarize all aspects of clinical data and scientific publications, and effectively communicate relevant clinical evidence to healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to research scientific literature, write reports, papers, and research protocols.
  • Solid understanding of GCP, IMC code, and healthcare compliance policies and procedures.
  • Excellent teaching skills and ability to present and discuss scientific material clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to work independently and engage key opinion leaders and researchers in scientific dialogue, handle objections, and manage issues.
  • Ability to function in a highly regulated environment and adhere to all company guidelines and standard operating procedures.
  • Strong strategic thinking and planning skills, and demonstrated ability to take initiative, impact decision making, and follow through.
